Mike Alessi

Voice, Piano, Guitar, Ukulele & Musiking

Mr. Mike is a NYS Certified K-12 Music Teacher and a Master’s of Music Education Graduate from the University at Buffalo as of 2020. 

He has over 15 years of music performance experience and offers voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, and Musiking lessons. He is a PreK-8th grade music teacher on Grand Island and teaches private lessons at Performing Arts after school. 

For most of his life, he has been involved in a wide variety of vocal performance ensembles and musical theater productions. These endeavors have granted him invaluable insight as a musician both on stage and behind the scenes as a director. 

He accepts students of all ages and levels of experience, and makes it his personal mission to help them gradually improve with each private session. His teaching method involves tailoring his lessons to fit each student through the lens of music that they already engage with in their everyday lives. Mike’s philosophy is that music learning is more enjoyable and meaningful when one utilizes their favorite music as a learning tool, in an effort to achieve a deeper understanding of music itself.
