 Mr. Josh Kerns, a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State College, pursued a degree in trumpet and education. In his free time, he dabbles in piano playing and songwriting, blending jazz, hip-hop, and R&B influences. Additionally, he holds the position of General Music Teacher at St. Mary’s Elementary, where he educates students from pre-k, 3 to eighth grade.

Josh’s teaching prowess extends beyond band instruments, including guitar, bass, piano, and voice. His teaching style strikes a perfect balance between relaxation and structure, fostering a conducive learning environment.

Josh firmly believes that music holds immense joy and should be accessible to all. He is an ideal teacher for adolescent beginners in music, as his ability to teach multiple instruments keeps students engaged and excited during their lessons.
