Buffalo Youth Voice Competition:

Entry Fee: $50
Participants must be between the ages of 13-18 years old. Contestants will be split up by age, 13-15 years old & 16-18 years old.
This competition is 2 days long. Contestants will be given numbers upon arrival. Day one consisting of an acapella audition. Day two consisted of 1 song prepared to a musical track. Contestants will get comments sheets back from both days. Scoring sheets will only be seen by the judges and the score collector. The top ten scores from each age group will continue to day two.
Day One: Saturday, May 5th, 10 am
Performance for judges. Participants must have one song prepared, maximum of 3 minutes. This song must be memorized. 10 contestants with the highest scores from both age groups will move on to day two of the competition. Contestants that made it into the next round will be announced by the end of the auditions. Contestants not present will be called and notified. Participants that have not qualified to move on will be given a certificate of participation.
Day Two: Sunday, May 6th, 1 pm
Performance for family, friends, and judges. Participants must have one song prepared to a musical track provided by the participant. The song choice must be no longer than 5 minutes. This song must be memorized. The top 3 scores from each age group will be given trophies. The others finalist will be given medals for being the top twenty.
Contestants will be judged on preparation, vocal production and execution.
By participating, all entrants acknowledge and agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will, that the rules and details of the contest have been made available to them. Prizes consist of trophies for the top 3 in each age group. The top twenty finalists will get medals.
